Carolina Dance Masters Fall Convention - in-person

A 4-day event bringing together 700+ dancers from across North Carolina to learn through dance classes, workshops, and performance experiences. Dr. Meghan will be leading a teacher workshop,  "Building Strong, Flexible, and Resilient Dancers: Unlocking Potential Through Smart, Safe Training, " discussing the anatomy and growth of developing dancers, the science behind strength & flexibility training, and injury recognition, management, and prevention in the classroom. She will also be leading a workshop for senior dancers, "Prepare to Perform: The Power of an Effective Warm-Up" to explore what's really happening during an effective warm-up, what to include (and what to skip!) in a warm-up for mobility, activation, and improving the brain-body connection, and taking dancers through a comprehensive and time-efficient movement sequence that can be used before class, rehearsal, and performance.
