End-of-Season Dancer Screenings - in-person
Screenings include an assessment of a dancer's mobility, flexibility, strength, stability, and balance
specific to dance postures and movements. Recommendations for summer conditioning will be made for dancers to come back stronger and more flexible than ever! Screenings are designed for non-injured dancers ages 10+ and who dance 5+ hrs/wk and are interested in keeping themselves healthy and improving their performance over the summer, and parents supportive of that goal. Screenings are also open to collegiate and professional dancers and dance teachers.

Winston-Salem Dance Medicine Conference - in-person
A multi-disciplinary educational opportunity for physicians, allied health professionals, dancers, dance instructors, and students to review (or learn anew) the fundamentals of dance medicine, including unique biomechanics, genre-specific considerations, and social/psychological demands that may influence performance and injury risk. The conference provides both instructional and networking opportunities to create an environment conducive to adult learning. Dr. Meghan will be co-leading an interactive workshop session entitled: "On-site coverage and safe return to dance."

International Association of Dance Medicine & Science 35th Annual Conference - in-person
Held every fall in various locations around the world, over 500 professionals in the fields of health and wellness, dance/sports science, research, dance education, and arts administration, as well as artists, learn from over 100 lectures, 50 movement sessions, networking events, break-out group sessions, and special interest group content. The conference offers continuing education credits to attendees, if applicable. Dr. Meghan will be co-presenting a lecture entitled: "Management of chronic ankle pain and postoperative complications in a pre-professional ballerina."
