Frequently Asked Questions
-
Why is it important for dancers to see a dance PT?Dancers are athletes and deserve the same specialized care that focuses on their unique mobility, strength, and performance demands. Working with someone who has dance medicine training and personal dance experience opens the door for support beyond the exercises and hands-on stuff.
-
Where are you located?Charlotte Dance Medicine is a mobile practice and works with dancers in their homes, dance studios, Pilates studios, and other health and fitness spaces. We proudly serve the neighborhoods of Mooresville, Gastonia, Ballantyne, Harrisburg, and everything in between.
-
What are your hours?Sessions are by appointment only with afternoon, evening, and weekend availability. If you have questions about availability during a specific day/time or at a particular location please schedule a call so we can figure out what might work best for you.
-
Do you accept insurance? We do not file with insurance companies but are happy to provide a superbill for each session if you would like to submit a claim for reimbursement. We also offer payment installment plans for Packages and some clients choose to use their HSA cards for payment in full or installments.
-
I don’t live in the Charlotte area. Can we still work together? We love helping dancers from all over! Some dancers travel from neighboring states to work with us during extended 2-hour sessions on a less frequent basis than local dancers. Virtual sessions may also be an option. If in-person sessions would be best for you, and you’re not able to travel to Charlotte, we will try to help you find a dance medicine provider closer to home.
